5th Nominee
Not only my best friend for 25 years but a wonderful mother in so many ways. Anne..has 4 children ranging from 23 years old down to 4 years old.Living in an abusive relationship, and a somewhat dysfunctional household at the best of times, Anne strived to keep her children’s
lives as close to the norm as possible.
Anne played the mother and father role, doing odd jobs here and there to make ends meet, Once she rid herself of the abusive husband, she decided to make something of herself, to get a future for her kids and i think for her own self worth. Anne decided to study Nursing. With the youngest child in day care and the others at school [eldest son lives away] Anne attended her classes of learning, surrounded in paper work, assignments etc..at times breaking down in tears from sheer exhaustion she never gave up.
Several months ago Anne got her her card to work in hospitals, she passed everything, Now working in mental hospitals and dementia wards , she is making a difference in the lives of many people. Through all her hard work, she never deterred from being a wonderful mother, or a fantastic best mate. In my eyes Anne is one of the most brave and honorable women i have ever known. A credit to her race and to womanhood, written by Liz Moore.. I nominate my friend.. ANNE RUSSELL for the WAU FRIGGA AWARD
